Hilia's Talks

At last Hilia’s friend, Regia Tatria of Cosria, has formal word from the land of Luthgenicca. That land was once part of the heart of the Nuvum Empire. Hilia wants to know what knowledge of the Empire and of magic that they have.

Instead she’s told that Luthgenicca doesn’t control Nuvus, the seat of the old Empire, nor does it have all that much magic. Luthgenicca has a powerful rival, the “Novium Empire,” which commands Nuvus and continues to be a threat to Luthgenicca.

Luthgenicca wants to free Nuvus and the rest of the land they lost to this new Empire. But they lack strength and magic. While trying to think up how to help them, Hilia sees there might be power in words to do what soldiers and magic cannot.

Hilia’s Deed

Five years have passed since Hilia began her work as a magus. She’s called back to Lergonia as word has arrived that there are indeed domains across the narrow sea in the former Imperial province of Isocaria.

Hilia’s Help

For a time all is quiet for Hilia of Bacaria. She’s teaching magic and trying to be a friend. Then word comes from Regia Evodi that there’s trouble from south of Lergonia.

The old Regius of Largenna has died. His son has taken over, and is suspected of murder, even within his own household. His sister Theodi has fled to Lergonia to ask for help. Regia Evodi has called on Hilia to provide that help.

Hilia's Allies

Hilia's Words

Hilia is a village girl of Bacaria, daughter of a blacksmith. Her interest in reading brings her to the local ruler. He teaches her to read.

Ship Killer

Stealing the Duke of Fallwood

Robbin, a thief and cheater, is approached by another thief, Cedric. The older outlaw proposes to rob the Duke of Fallwood. Though Fallwood isn’t rich, the Duke is old and has been hoarding the taxes he’s collected over his long reign. Robbin proposes a safer scheme. Instead of robbing the manor they could cheat the Duke out of part of his fortune.

The two go to Fallwood and undertake their scheme, pretending to be merchants. But as Robbin tries for a safe steal, Cedric keeps trying for a quick steal. Then the Duke makes a proposal of his own over his own grand-daughter. What will Robbin do to save himself from those schemes?

Ruzi’s Pirate Plot

Du’s Magical Rebellion
