Luva the Spy

Luva is the adopted daughter of Oria and her partner Culca. Luva’s sister is a magus, but Luva is only blessed with intelligence.

The ruler of Luthgenicca wants someone to travel across the Great Warm Sea south to the domain of Meuretha. Trade is increasing between the domains, and so is the prospect of a pact between them. Information is required before discussions of a pact can begin.

Luva ends up going south. What will she learn about Meuretha, and about cooperation, while on this errand? And will she carry on the family tradition of being clever to undermine a scheme?

Eufemia’s Justice

Baron Rudel of Bahmren has received word from Centerlands of the crimes of a nobleman. The land the Baron rules was the scene of one of those wicked crimes. His son Ebel doesn’t think the matter is worthy of note.

His daughter Eufemia thinks that justice should be done, even if it’s not likely the nobleman will ever return to Bahmren before he dies in jail somewhere else. But Ebel is the heir, and he talks their father into weak actions.

Others in Bahmren are upset with the news. Eufemia works to find allies at home and elsewhere so that she might make the people of Bahmren happy, as well as obtain justice for those hurt by the nobleman’s crimes.

The Plodding Menace

Actress Ming Shi has arrived on the planet Vladikov to shoot a movie. The movie is going to be a throwback to monster movies made on Earth in the early days of space travel. It’s a low-budget project but it’s work.

She’s pleased that her co-star is the more well-known actress Arianna Cho. She’s surprised to learn that she and Cho were once clients of Jake Bonner.

That comes in handy. The crew is too small, and there’s other strange things going on with investors in the project. Ming and Arianna join forces to figure out what the “Plodding Menace” really is on this movie shoot.

Oria and her partner Culca are given an important assignment. Ships from one of Luthgenicca’s allies in Nuvia are being robbed when they sail into the port of another ally.

The Novium Empire is supporting pirates attacking ships from Luthgenicca and their allies. Oria and Culca need to find out if the robberies are being commited by those pirates or other criminals before the situation sets allies against each other. Will the two young women be able to solve the mystery on their own?

Oria is the youngest daughter of the famed magus Hilia of Bacaria. A rough end to a relationship and a message from one of her mother’s friends sends Oria to the great city of Nuvus.

Someone is selling scrolls with false tales written on them, including ones about Hilia. Is this a scheme to get coins? An effort to undermine Luthgenicca? Oria is tasked to investigate. Will trying to solve the mystery take Oria’s life in a startling new direction?
